fun, fun, fun...

Welcome to my booth!
What a wonderful fair we had with artists
working in many different mediums.
I had so much fun and met such supportive people.
I sold 12 paintings and about 20 notebooks,
and cards and prints too.
Needless to say,
I felt truly blessed!
Unfortunately it was very dark and these photos are not very good.
But I decided it would be better to share them
even with their faults.
I used red arrows to point out the paintings that sold...
and here is the piece I was working on for
this event in 1 1/2 weeks.
There's bidding on line, but mine is not listed yet.
I will let you know once it is up.
Also I will price the pieces that did not sell and list them on the blog too.
Just listed the pieces with prices
on the 'see my art here' page
so click above to see them.
Thanks to you all for the support -
it means the world to me!

a painting a day #23

This final painting is one I made on paper a few years ago
and I decided it would be at home in a vintage window frame.
So there you have it.
I am at the show right now....
come on by here and say hi.

a painting a day #20

I have been interviewed twice this week
for the upcoming art show.
You can find out all about me
here and here.
a busy week indeed-
I finished her (below)
and then headed to California to my 40th high school reunion,
then returned home to find out I was feeling lousy the entire time
because the bladder infection turned into a kidney infection... sigh.
Just hate antibiotics-
especially when they don't work.
So now I am trying to rest when instead I should be prepping, pricing and painting.
Sometimes life just throws you a curve.
Who am I kidding?
Life throws curves left and right and
you just have to curve them to your advantage right?
Well I do really love this girl who smiles with a fat sweetness.
Honestly I would rather she not leave home anytime soon.

a painting a day #19

Or maybe I should call these posts a painting every week...

Here's the newest one -
don't seem to be able to stay away from those crows.
My paintings are lined up on the living room floor
just waiting for this event.
Only 2 1/2 weeks to go,
but who's counting?

a painting a day #18

She is called
I spy with my little eye
because I couldn't resist adding a small snail
crawling up a stem in the lower left-
just gives me a chuckle.
Isn't that how life is?
Just when you think you have it all together,
there is always something!
She has been rehauled, face lifted, given new flowers,
and the background glazed over and over
until I finally think she is ready to greet the world....
3 weeks until the art show
and 3 more partial paintings to complete-
better get into the studio today.
