walking in a winter wonderland

gone away is the blue bird,
here to stay is a new bird...
I introduced the harder Brushes app to my new ipadders yesterday
and these are their creations-
I do believe I would like to go for a walk in these winter wonderlands.
he sings a love song
as we go along
walking in a winter wonderland.

Happy New Year!

I wish each of you a wonderful New Year's Day
and a blessed year to follow...
the sun is casting its rays through the window and warming my soul,
the final wisteria leaves are fluttering to the ground,
I hear the clatter of kitchen bustling
as my husband is patiently attempting to bake Red Velvet Macarons
with cream cheese filling,
and Zoe is barking to come in for the umpteenth time.
She has gone in and out,
 in and out,
as the sun is just so enticing.
Life is good amidst the struggles, disappointments and pain.
These two arrived in the mail Monday
and are heading to my great niece for a late Christmas present.
Aren't they adorable?

I will leave you with this thought...
This is the beginning of a new day.
You have been given this day to use as you will.
You can waste it or use it for good.
What you do today is important because
you are exchanging a day of your life for it.
When tomorrow comes,
this day will be gone forever;
in its place is something that you left behind...
let it be something good.

let your light shine!

Your word is a lamp for my feet,
a light on my path.
Psalm 119:104-6
I wish each of you a very Merry Christmas spent with loved ones,
and maybe a little snow...
This ipad sketch is on our cards this year.
Zoe and Matteo loved posing and enlisted
a couple of newly found friends who frequent our yard.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

 Light piercing the darkness,
illuminating manuscripts,
the scent of Christmas bubbling on the stove,
chicken pot pie lovingly baked,
sweet smiles,
a riot of color,
and gifts creatively wrapped...
it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas.

He's got the whole world in his hands...

Having fun with my iPadders
making nativity scenes.
Sometimes my mind just goes to some odd places,
but it sure does inspire them and make them smile. :)
Love these scenes by 2nd and 3rd graders!
See the dog door?
Ahh from the hands of babes!

penguins and snowmen - it could happen

My drawing is above and my new students followed along
 and drew the sketches below.
Isn't that great for only their second week using the iPad?
