life is good

Today is Nick's 25th birthday.
He got this painting from me
as he has been asking for a cloud painting for a very long time.
I finally got my act together and painted one.
And he got this "happy Birthday" hello from Matteo this morning.
The art studio is filled with new paintings waiting for some attention.
A huge wip crow and friend.
I would so love to have a huge cuddly crow as a pet.
Working on this one for a crow exhibit.
This wip piece is a sample for a high school art class I will be teaching
at artEAST
the week of July 14.
Stay tuned for more info.
This huge floral painting will be an example for a class I will be teaching March 22 at artEAST.
Check out their website here for all of the info.
I would love to have you join me.
There are about 15 new paintings sitting around the studio waiting for some tlc,
and a corgi also demanding some "fetch" time.
The sun is out,
I am a grandmother,
my youngest is old - ha,
and winter has actually been quite beautiful.

winter wanderings with the iPad

The iPadders have been creating snowmen and snow globes.
Yesterday they learned how to create a stipple brush for the snowman's sky and body,
then a solid brush for details and dots,
and finally a shading one for a little blush and highlights.
Now those brushes are set for future projects.
If we have to sit through some grey winter days
at least we can pretend we live in a snow globe
and a snowman is our best friend.
Hope these make you smile!

I am a grandmother!

Amidst all the Christmas and New Year's celebrations
this little girl finally made her way into the world.
I pray you will have a wonderful joyous life

while visions of sugar plums...

Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!

We are in waiting mode for our granddaughter to be born back east,
My dad is visiting,
a new puzzle is waiting to be puzzled,
the sun is out,
cranberry orange cookies are baked,
and the three of us are in vacation mode.
Hallelujah life is good!

I wish you each a blessed time with family and friends
filled with good food and conversation,
and praise for the hallelujah moments in your life.

advent moments

 some glimpses of home...
  a snow day Friday
my helper as I prep art lessons for the kiddos
and  3 wonderful pieces by my ipadders

I adore Joseph waving or exclaiming,
 "Hallelujah he has arrived!"
and poinsettias made in the Mixed Media class.
Oh I do love glitter!

a blessed advent season

Here are some of the newest iPad pieces created this advent season.
This one is going on our Christmas cards.
Thanks to my fur balls for being good sports.
This beauty takes my breath away-created in class this week
by one of my students.
And here are more by my students
 including lots of birds
and Christmas doves that will get some holly festivity added to them
in this week's class
and this nativity scene created by my youngest student in First Grade.
Notice the crow attending to the birth of Jesus.
See I really do influence them -hee hee.
Blessings to you this advent season!
