painting in paradise

got to doodle while on vacation
and just enjoy doing art without overthinking...
I started these corgi and crow obsessions at my dad's
and then got to overwork them
sitting at this beautiful spot with the sun and water
and breeze - and the much needed daily iced latte.
I will try to finish them this week.
how about you -
getting any doodling done this summer?

  1. Oh my gosh your doodles are wonderful! You know I love the corgi. :) What a nice place at your dads to relax and draw. I've started the Sketch Project but I've been doodling some banners for my shops and such. Thanks for sharing!

  2. ahh--a perfect afternoon, and I'm always loving your art!

  3. What a great way to spend an your sketches and love the colors you chose......

  4. Pam - I love your blog! And as with all that you did in Plaster Studio - I love your work. I spent many summer days at Balboa Island - I was raised in Tustin and Costa Mesa and we had friends on Balboa Island. That was THE place to go and buy your bathing suit each year!! Looking forward to seeing you and the rest of the gang on the 6th!

  5. Oh my... your doodles are wonderful!
The colors just melt into the paper... love it all :]

  6. pam, those little pieces of art are fabulous... xo

  7. Your colors are strong and transparent at the same time.
I love your use of red in "..welcome to doodle land".

  8. Dearest sweet pam, your doodles are so beautiful!! Looks like you are having a fabulous vacation! Oh and how fun to be doing what you love and drinking starbucks at the same time...awesome! Have a lovely merry happy mid-week and love to you!

  9. Pamala,
i just love your free art style. This takes time and courage to let go and let the art flow.
Also, i love your playlist!! wish we could hang, paint and dance:)
    Bless you!

  10. Ahhh...your doodling art is beautiful! As a matter of fact...I have been doing a little art doodling this Summer as well, with the grandkids. It is fun to not overthink it all, and just keep it a no pressure kind of art project!! Thanks for sharing yours! Very inspiring stuff!!! :)

    Enjoy your day!!
