a glimpse

StudioJRU
I walked outside today as the sun came out
and called to me.
So with camera in hand I observed my yard
and I found a world I wouldn't normally see,
unless I 'digitally focused' my eyes
to see the small, humble happenings in nature.
Most often I detest moss as it is everywhere...
and has taken host to most of our lawn.
But looking at it through the eyes of beauty
and not through the eyes of the 'to do' list maker,
I see the most beautiful design, color and texture
that is so often ignored.
And these fir branches came down in a storm
weeks ago and
are still waiting to be picked up and discarded
(again there is that 'to do' list) ,
not expecting someone to notice their beauty.
I can't think of a lovelier color combo
than lichen and moss...
and new birth happening right before me
and I was unaware.
Even the chives are reaching to the heavens!
Heaven and nature sing indeed!

Thanks to Jennifer from studiojru
for inspiring this glimpse into
God's world each month.
