you ought to be charmed with it...
just chuckling over this sentence...
sometimes it is so helpful to just cut out phrases
and match each with a piece of art
that expresses the same sentiment.
charmed is not a word that we use much in current english.
it means unusually lucky or happy.
I will take that any day please.
this newest small joint compound piece began with these steps.
I am just loving working with these 6" squares.
small can be good.
how about you, what size are you working with?

  1. hi pamela...
lovely art using joint compound, i like it...
i just finished a 14x18 canvas, but usually work with 9x12 or 8x10. i have done smaller pieces and i do like working with those too...
    have a wonderful day!

  2. This is beautiful artwork! :] Such wonderful mixed- media.
I just finish 6 pieces of artwork using 4"x4" corrugated cardboard as my platform, fun stuff :]

  3. Hi Pamela, That looks like so much fun! Is that canvas and modeling paste? I have to try it, too!

  4. Sheila, it is joint compound spread on a wood substrate... and yes it is fun.

  5. Right now I can't get enough of 12 x 16..its not TOO small but not to big to store reasonably seeing the process behind your work, thanks for sharing.
