my husband brought this dried lavender bouquet home
from the office.
someone just brought them in to share.
love them offset against my dining room table
that was my grandmothers.
it seems that someone of the black furry kind likes them too
as there are lavender kernels spread all over the table each morning.

Lavender is one of my very favorite smells. That, jasmine, and lilac--my top 3. Do these all grow in WA? Sorry, I'm probably going to have a million questios for you. Thanks so much for your sweet, sweet comment on my blog. We CANNOT wait to get out there! Have a wonderful weekend with your art!
ReplyDeletePS--I meant to say how much I LOVE your grandmother's table--beautiful! What a treasure!
ReplyDeleteAhh... I can almost smell it now! I have tried to grow lavender before with no luck... I should give it a try again! :)
ReplyDeleteI love lavender and there happened to be a lavender festival over the summer in our home town. I forgot my camera that day but I purchased and dried some from it and also made eye pillows.
ReplyDeleteIt is such a sweet smell. Lovely pics.
Have a wonderful art day this weekend. ~Theresa
What a nice treat! I remember buying tons of lavender when we lived in Washington. I just love that smell. I guess I need to plant somein my yard here in Ohio and see if it will grow! Happy artsy weekend! -Shelly
ReplyDeleteI really adore lavender and these are really wonderful treat! I wish i could plant them here but the weather is too warm. Have a lovely merry happy weekend and love to you!
ReplyDeleteI just love the smell of lavender. It began with a trip to Provence and everything was lavender scented including the soap they used to mop the floors. So now, I always buy a bar of lavender soap for myself. When I shower, sometimes for a second, I imagine I'm back in the little farmhouse hotel in France. Thanks for sharing these beautiful pictures!
